v1.0 Released

 · 1 min read

This article describes the old desktop editor which is replaced by the web app at https://app.finfoil.io.
All functionality described below is still available in the new app.

This year Santa brings finFoil v1.0!

This version differs from the latest dev-preview with the ability to save and load ‘.foil’ files.
You can find the windows executable here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/finfoil/files/windows/.
The OSX binaries here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/finfoil/files/macosx/.
And the source code here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/finfoil/files/source/.

STL export

There is STL export available through the following web page: https://hrobeers.github.io/finfoil-web/.
I’m not distributing the source code of the STL export, since I’d like to keep control over this. This functionality is very useful for mass production, and this way I keep the doors open to monetize this in the future.
For now the export is free of charge, but donations are appreciated.

All feedback is welcome!

Happy fin building!
